After an hour & in an hour
We use these sentences to talk about the time in the future when we are going to do something.
We will leave after an hour: the speaker here is planning how long to stay in place before they get there.
We will leave in an hour: the speaker here is already at the place, and is deciding how much longer to stay there.

Language Functions Empty All right & alright

    All right & alright

All right: the usual way of writing this is all right: Do not worry about me - I am all right. /all right lets go. Alright: some people consider the spelling alright is incorrect, and it is best to avoid it in formal writing.

    Action & Act
Action is used as a countable noun when it means the same as act: a kind act /a kind action. It can be uncountable: we must take action immediately / what we need is immediate action.

Act is also used in some fixed phrases when it means a particular type of action: an act of friendship/an act of war /he was caught in the act (=caught doing something bad).It is always countable.
